Ten miles less each week

That’s all. There’s about 1.4 BILLION cars worldwide. If half of those average 10 miles less each week, that would be 7 BILLION fewer miles driven. If the cars average 15 miles per gallon, that would be 467,000,000 gallons of petroleum saved! One gallon of gas = 20 POUNDS of CO2 (according to NASA); therefore, if half the cars on the road traveled 10 fewer miles each week, that would mean 9.3 BILLION pounds (4,650,000 tons) of CO2 did not go into the atmosphere every week!
